Activities

At the beginning of camp, each camping family becomes part of a group, giving them an opportunity to meet, work, and play with other campers. Each group is named after a Native American tribe.

The tribe members make headbands of their tribal colors and work together to complete a scavenger hunt. We encourage the adults to talk to the young campers about what it was like when they were children

Along with arts and crafts, campers can enjoy canoeing, swimming, hiking and horseback riding, depending on the weather.

Many of the Grandma’s Camp® volunteers have backgrounds in community service. Campers have enjoyed programs on fire safety, CPR, pet medicine, the job of an EMT, and search and rescue dogs.

Grandma’s Camp® loves animals and often provides programs with exotic animals.

Sing along with our music director, Karree, as she plays her guitar around the campfire.

The best part of Grandma’s Camp® is the down time, unscheduled time, where kids get to run and play and the adults get to relax and enjoy the scenery.
